About Still Water Insight
Still Water Insight began in 2019 as a local sangha co-founded by Renata Malinauskas and Selena Hannahn, gathering in person to sit in meditation and explore the Buddha’s teachings together. In the years since – and through the disruptions of the pandemic – the group has evolved into a dedicated platform for offering Insight Meditation retreats, online courses, and recorded talks. Today, Still Water Insight is held and guided by Renata, who continues to offer these teachings in New South Wales and online.
The heart of this offering is rooted in the Buddha’s invitation to see clearly — to develop insight (Vipassanā) into the nature of reality and awaken to our true nature. Drawing from the early Buddhist teachings and contemporary understandings of embodiment, our approach emphasizes the body as a doorway to presence, understanding, and freedom. Through stillness, inquiry, and compassionate awareness, we explore how wisdom and insight can unfold directly through lived experience.
Still Water Insight is grounded in the spirit of sangha — a community of practice that supports one another on the path. Through meditation, Dharma reflections, and shared inquiry, we cultivate the conditions for clarity, compassion, and liberation to emerge.
Whether you're new to meditation or a long-time practitioner, Still Water Insight welcomes all who are drawn to explore the Dharma in a grounded, embodied, and relational way.
